Got a teenager who’s serious about rugby? Youth Rugby at Abu Dhabi Harlequins is the real deal. Your child aged 13-18 competes in contact rugby with structured training, qualified coaches, and a pathway to elite club play.
The Youth section is where rugby gets serious. Boys from U13 upwards play full contact rugby. Girls progress from Quick Rip at U14 through to full contact at U16 and U18. Training is structured by age group — U13 and U14 train Monday and Friday evenings, 6:00–7:00 PM. U15 to U18 train Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:00–7:00 PM. All sessions are at Zayed Sports City.
Your child develops every dimension of their rugby game — technique, fitness, tactical understanding, and competitive experience. The club competes in UAE league and tournament rugby, and players at this level are on a genuine pathway towards senior club and potentially national rugby. Some of the club’s youth players have gone on to join the UAE national squad. The friendships, discipline, and team culture built at this age carry well beyond the pitch.
Abu Dhabi Harlequins was founded in 1970 and is one of the most established rugby clubs in the Gulf. The club is grassroots and not-for-profit, with all fees going directly to running the program. Health and safety protocols are strict — UAERF concussion management, baseline cognitive assessments available, and insurance included in membership for all Youth players.
Membership for the 2025/26 season includes kit and insurance. Annual fee covers the full season. Pro rata membership is available for players joining mid-season — contact the club directly.
